CHRISTINE CHU - cello, piano: Originally from Berkeley, CA, Christine Chu, cello, holds a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Arts (American Cultures) from the University of Michigan, a Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music, and an Artist Diploma from SUNY Purchase. She is currently pursuing a second Master's degree in Music Education from Lehman College (CUNY).  Her mentors include Julia Lichten, Peter Wiley, David Geber, and Erling Blondal Bengtsson.

Ms. Chu has performed with the Westchester Philharmonic, Westchester Chamber Orchestra, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Haddonfield Symphony, New World Symphony, Tanglewood Music Festival Orchestra, National Repertory Orchestra, National Orchestral Institute, and Aspen Festival Orchestra. She is a core member of the Artemis Chamber Ensemble.

In addition to being an active chamber and orchestral musician in the tri-state area, Ms. Chu is a dedicated teacher. She is on faculty at the Croton-Harmon School District, Briarcliff Music and Related Arts, and maintains a private cello and piano teaching studio.

Ms. Chu has experience in working with students with special needs including blindness, muscular dystrophy, Asperger’s syndrome, and Alzheimer’s disease.
