DOLORES BECK - French horn, piano, beginning guitar:

Dolores is a professional French horn player with a Bachelor's degree from the Manhattan School of Music.

She has been solo horn with the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra, the American Symphony Orchestra, under Leopold Stokowski, and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.

Dolores has performed and traveled on the American tour with the Bolshoi Ballet orchestra, the Leningrad Kirov Ballet orchestra, the Royal Ballet of London, England featuring Dame Margot Fontayne, the Moiseyev Folk dancers from Moscow, Russia and the Mazowsze, the state folk dance troupe from Poland.

She has studied the electric bass with Steve Roane and Dr. Lynn Christie, and has performed in musical shows all over the country, including Lincoln Center, The Rhinebeck Music Hall, Dobbs Ferry Music Hall, and the Bardovan Theatre, Poughkeepsie, NY.

Dolores also has earned a Music Therapy degree from SUNY New Paltz, where upon graduation she became a music therapist serving Ulster County in the school system.

In Westchester County she has been associated with Linden Hill, Hawthorne Cedar Knolls, Margaret Chapman, Open Gate, and the Ruth Taylor Institute on the grounds of the Westchester Medical Center.

Dolores is also a highly trained athlete who competes nationally on the Senior Women's Tennis Circuit. She has earned a national and eastern division ranking and is a USPTR certified Tennis Teaching professional, who teaches tennis for the Town of Putnam Valley.

Dolores resides in Putnam Valley and is a private music teacher on staff at Briarcliff Music & Related Arts where she rehearses weekly with her award winning TOP BRASS FRENCH HORN CHOIR.

She is a master French horn educator, who also teaches trumpet, electric bass, beginning guitar, piano, harmonica and recorder.
