  JANET GRICE – bassoonist: has a doctorate from Rutgers University and degrees from the New England Conservatory.

A bassoonist, she performed internationally with Karl Berger, Butch Morris, the STX Ensemble, the Mingus Orchestra and her groups.

She recorded for Music Minus One, produced CDs of Brazilian jazz and chamber music with the Janet Grice Group and Trio Vento, and has appeared on numerous contemporary music recordings.

She received a Fulbright Fellowship in Brazil and grants from the National Endowment and Arts International.

A teaching artist for the Lincoln Center Institute, she also worked for Carnegie Hall, Westchester Philharmonic and Arts Horizons.

As a professional development facilitator she led workshops for the NYC Dept. of Education and the Artist/Teacher Institute of NJ. She taught ear-training at Rutgers University and instrumental music in K-12 schools, and teaches bassoon privately.

She has performed at the 92nd St. Y, for Grammy's in the Schools, and Maveric Concerts, and plays in the Chappaqua Orchestra and Woodwind Quintet.
