  STEVE LaMATTINA – guitar, beginning piano: Steve began playing guitar in 1963.

 

He studied basic guitar skills with Bob Schilingo from 1968 to 1972.

 

In 1973 he began studies with guitar legend Barry Galbraith and participated in Barry’s guitar workshop from 1975 to 1980.

 

Steve has performed in many jazz venues throughout the tri-state area. He is a sought after accompanist for trumpet players Don Hahn and Bob Arthurs and for saxophonists Carmen Leggio and Ted Brown.

 

Steve is on the faculty of the Music Conservatory of Westchester and he is also the Associate Director at the Briarcliff Music School.
